What is Scopo Gigio?
Scopo Gigio is a full-featured video waveform monitor and vectorscope plugin for Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects. It emulates most of the features you'd find in a hardware-based waveform monitor / vectorscope combo, at a small fraction of the cost.
Why do I need Scopo Gigio?
Anyone who creates graphics for broadcast video ought to have a waveform monitor and vectorscope. The color spectrum of broadcast video is much smaller than that of a computer, and it's very easy to create graphics on a computer with colors far outside the legal broadcast range. Scopo Gigio lets you monitor your video levels quickly and easily.
What broadcast systems does Scopo Gigio support?
Scopo Gigio works with both NTSC and PAL video, in both standard definition (ITU-601) and high-definition (SMPTE-274M) color spaces.
How is Scopo Gigio implemented?
In Photoshop, you select Scopo Gigio from the Filter menu. In After Effects, Scopo Gigio is a floating palette you select from the Window menu.
What's new in Scopo Gigio 3?
Scopo Gigio 3, for Photoshop CS3/CS4 and After Effects CS3/CS4, adds a variety of new features, including YUV color space displays, single-channel displays, RGB level readouts, variable-sized screens (After Effects only), and more.
What are Scopo Gigio's system requirements?
Scopo Gigio 3 PS requires Adobe Photoshop CS3 or CS4 as its host program, and Scopo Gigio 3 AE requires Adobe After Effects CS3 or CS4 as its host. On the Macintosh, you'll need OS X v.10.4.8 or higher. On Windows, you'll need Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Windows Vista.
Scopo Gigio 2 AE is still available for users of After Effects 5.5.1 through 7.0, and Scopo Gigio 1.1 PS is still available for users of Adobe Photoshop 5.0 through CS2.

Scopo Gigio 3 costs $95 for any one of its four versions (Photoshop for Mac, Photoshop for Windows, After Effects for Mac, or After Effects for Windows). Yes, Scopo Gigio 3 for the Macintosh is a Universal Binary, and works equally well on PowerPC and Intel processors.
